Electronic Medical Records Systems Redmond WA

Medical practices in Redmond have improved over the past few decades as a result of two main factors namely research and formalisation of the whole industry. Health records take the centre stage in the effort to formalise the practise because they provide a reliable foundation for the treatment of patients over time. Such records are not only limited to the patient’s history but rather to all the recorded medical data that can show trends or patterns of health issues in different people over long periods.

Electronic health records have therefore become popular in modern societies. Just about all industries are increasingly embracing digitisation in most processes. The medical industry hasn’t been left behind in this. Medical records have also been adapted to electronic means of collection and storage which defines the concept of electronic medical records.

The benefits of having electronic health records make the whole shift worthwhile. Medical practitioners in different regions or categories may now easily share patient data. This, therefore, makes treatment processes much more efficient and provides essential medical histories for patients without much effort. There is also no denying the convenience of electronic records over physical ones besides the obvious ones like storage ease and the ease of retrieving the data on demand.

EMR Software Solution for Medical Records Management in Washington

Electronic health records in Redmond WA have evolved the way that medical practitioners operate in terms of collecting and storing patients’ data. All modern health facilities have jumped on the bandwagon of embracing this trend. Let’s just quickly evaluate the key advantages that come with the use of electronic health record systems.

  • Seeing The Bigger Picture

Health records provide a history of each patient’s medical issues and conditions. This, therefore, allows medical practitioners to familiarise themselves with the patient whether it’s on a visit to a dentist or an oncologist. By familiarising themselves with the client’s medical history, health experts can better appreciate the bigger picture of the patient’s health and identify any health patterns.

  • Efficient Record Updates and Retrievals

The main agenda of any health record system is to provide a reliable source of patient details. Electronic records therefore totally satisfy this need in the business. Patent details can even be inputted to the system directly from the medical equipment like BP meters or thermometers. EHRs also eliminate lots of problems like parallax errors which come with written records hence improving the integrity of the records. Lastly, the time taken to retrieve electronic records is negligible and therefore makes treatment processes much more efficient in Redmond.

  • Better Record Security

Digital means of information storage and collection are better at providing data security than physical records. The possibility of destruction is as good as zero since copies can be created on several devices like hard drives. Data can also be uploaded to offsite organisations or to the web where it’s secured even when the hardware is destroyed. Electronic records are also more secure from manipulations and alterations than physical records. Digital information is easily encrypted and electronic devices can be programmed to alert the relevant guardians of the data whenever attempts are made to change such records in any way.

  • Less Record-Keeping Costs

The conventional means of keeping records involved tedious filing and a lot of infrastructures to keep the records and keep room conditions at ideal levels that ensured the integrity of the records on paper. To top it off, the arduous processes of managing all these records required plenty of manpower which all translated to higher costs of creating and maintaining the records. Electronic records, however, demand very little financial support. A single computer with a large hard drive can perform the job with more ease and efficiency.

Redmond, Washington

Redmond is a city in King County, Washington, United States, located 15 miles (24 km) east of Seattle. The population was 54,144 at the 2010 census and an estimated 67,678 in 2018.[5] Redmond is commonly recognized as the home of Microsoft and Nintendo of America. With an annual bike race on city streets and the state's only velodrome, Redmond is also known as the "Bicycle Capital of the Northwest".[6][7]

Native Americans have lived in the Redmond area for over 10,000 years, based on artifacts discovered at the Redmond Town Center archaeological site and Marymoor Prehistoric Indian Site.[8][9] The first European settlers arrived in the 1870s. Luke McRedmond filed a Homestead Act claim for land next to the Sammamish Slough on September 9, 1870, and the following year Warren Perrigo took up land adjacent to him. The rivers and streams had so many salmon that the settlement was initially named Salmonberg. More settlers came, and with the establishment of the first post office in 1881, the name of the community was changed to Melrose. The new name was derived from the Perrigos' successful inn, Melrose House, which upset McRedmond. After becoming postmaster, he successfully petitioned to have the name changed to Redmond in 1883.[10]

The abundant forests and fish of Redmond provided jobs for loggers and fishermen, and with those jobs came demand for goods and services, bringing in merchants. The logging industry expanded significantly in 1889 when the Seattle, Lake Shore and Eastern Railway built a station in the center of town. The first plat for Redmond was filed on May 11, 1891, encompassing much of the area now known as downtown. After reaching the necessary population of 300, Redmond was incorporated on December 31, 1912.[10]
