Electronic Medical Records Systems Bensalem PA

Medical practices in Bensalem have improved over the last few decades as a result of two main factors namely research and formalisation of the whole industry. Health records take the centre stage in the effort to formalise the practise because they provide a reliable foundation for the treatment of patients over time. Such records are not only limited to the patient’s history but rather to all the recorded medical information that could show trends or patterns of health issues in different people over long periods.

Electronic health records have therefore become popular in modern societies. Almost all industries are increasingly embracing digitisation in all processes. The medical industry has not been left behind in this. Medical records have also been adapted to digital means of collection and storage which defines the concept of electronic medical records.

The benefits of having electronic health records make the whole shift worthwhile. Medical practitioners in different regions or categories can now easily share patient data. This, therefore, makes treatment processes more efficient and provides essential medical histories for patients without much effort. There is also no denying the convenience of electronic records over physical ones besides the obvious ones such as storage ease and the ease of retrieving the data on demand.

EMR Software Solution for Medical Records Management in Pennsylvania

Electronic health records in Bensalem PA have evolved the way that medical practitioners operate in terms of collecting and storing patients’ data. All modern health facilities have jumped onto the bandwagon of embracing this trend. Let’s just quickly evaluate the key advantages that come with the use of electronic health record systems.

  • Seeing The Bigger Picture

Health records provide a history of each patient’s medical issues and conditions. This, therefore, allows medical practitioners to familiarise themselves with the patient whether it is on a visit to a dentist or an oncologist. By familiarising themselves with the client’s medical background, health experts can better appreciate the bigger picture of the patient’s health and identify any health patterns.

  • Efficient Record Updates and Retrievals

The main agenda of any health record system is to provide a reliable source of patient details. Electronic records therefore totally satisfy this need in the industry. Patent details can even be inputted into the system directly from the medical equipment like BP meters or thermometers. EHRs also eliminate a lot of problems such as parallax errors which come with written records hence improving the integrity of the records. Finally, the time taken to retrieve electronic records is negligible and therefore makes treatment processes much more efficient in Bensalem.

  • Better Record Security

Digital means of information storage and collection are better at providing data security than physical records. The possibility of destruction is as good as zero since backups can be created on several devices such as hard drives. Data can also be uploaded to offsite organisations or to the web where it’s secured even if the hardware is destroyed. Electronic records are also more secure from manipulations and alterations than physical records. Digital information is easily encrypted and electronic devices can be programmed to alert the relevant guardians of the data whenever attempts are made to change such records at all.

  • Less Record-Keeping Costs

The traditional means of keeping records involved tedious filing and a lot of infrastructures to keep the records and keep room conditions at ideal levels that ensured the integrity of the records on paper. To top it off, the arduous processes of managing all these records required a lot of manpower which all translated to higher costs of creating and maintaining the records. Electronic records, however, demand very little financial aid. A single computer with a large hard drive can do the job with more ease and efficiency.

The management of medical records has a very strong bearing on the progress of any treatment procedure or plan for the patient in question. Bensalem Township, Pennsylvania

Bensalem Township is a township in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States and borders the northeast section of Philadelphia. The township is composed of many communities, including Andalusia, Bensalem, Bridgewater, Cornwells Heights, Eddington, Flushing, Oakford, Siles, Trappe, and Trevose.[3] Bensalem Township has no incorporated municipalities (city or borough) within its boundaries. As of the 2010 census, the township had a total population of 60,427, which makes it the largest municipality in Bucks County, and the ninth largest municipality in Pennsylvania. The township, which was founded in 1692, is almost as old as Pennsylvania itself, which was founded in 1682.

The origin of the name Bensalem likely comes from references made by settler Joseph Growden, who named his estate Manor of Bensalem in honor of William Penn and the Semitic term for peace, Salem.[4] It was originally named Salem; the first syllable Ben was added in 1701.[4]

The area of Bensalem Township was likely distinct by 1682 as it appears on the Holme Map, thought not yet with a name. By 2 January 1685, the boundary was fixed between Bensalem and Philadelphia County along the Poquessing Creek. At the September session in 1692 of the Court of Bucks County, a jury of thirteen men was formed to define boundaries of divisions that had been created up to that time. The report submitted in December states that "All the lands between Neshamineh and Poquessin, and so to the upper side of Joseph Growden's land in one and to be called 'Salem.'" It thus appears that the first name of the township was 'Salem'. The minutes of the Board of Property of the Province on 19 November 1701 at Philadelphia noted the name of the area as 'Bensalem'. The population of the area was first a few Dutch and Swedes, then later a larger influx of English, and then additional Dutch settled the area.[3]
