Electronic Medical Records Systems Rogersville AL

Medical practices in Rogersville have improved over the past few decades as a result of two main factors namely research and formalisation of the whole industry. Health records take the centre stage in the effort to formalise the practise because they provide a reliable basis for the treatment of patients over time. Such records are not only limited to the patient’s history but rather to all the recorded medical information that can show trends or patterns of health issues in different people over long periods.

Electronic health records have therefore become popular in modern societies. Just about all industries are increasingly embracing digitisation in most processes. The medical industry hasn’t been left behind in this. Medical records have also been adapted to electronic means of collection and storage which defines the concept of electronic medical records.

The benefits of having electronic health records make the whole change worthwhile. Medical practitioners in different regions or categories can now easily share patient data. This, therefore, makes treatment processes much more efficient and provides essential medical histories for patients without much effort. There is also no denying the convenience of electronic records over physical ones besides the obvious ones like storage ease and the ease of retrieving the data on demand.

EMR Software Solution for Medical Records Management in Alabama

Electronic health records in Rogersville AL have evolved the way that medical practitioners operate in terms of collecting and storing patients’ data. All modern health facilities have jumped on the bandwagon of embracing this trend. Let’s just quickly evaluate the key advantages that come with the use of electronic health record systems.

  • Seeing The Bigger Picture

Health records provide a history of each patient’s medical issues and conditions. This, therefore, allows medical practitioners to familiarise themselves with the patient whether it’s on a trip to a dentist or an oncologist. By familiarising themselves with the client’s medical history, health experts can better appreciate the bigger picture of the patient’s health and identify any health patterns.

  • Efficient Record Updates and Retrievals

The main agenda of any health record system is to provide a reliable source of patient details. Electronic records therefore totally satisfy this need in the industry. Patent details can even be inputted into the system directly from the medical equipment like BP meters or thermometers. EHRs also eliminate a lot of problems like parallax errors which come with written records hence improving the integrity of the records. Finally, the time taken to retrieve electronic records is negligible and therefore makes treatment processes much more efficient in Rogersville.

  • Better Record Security

Digital means of information storage and collection are better at providing data security than physical records. The possibility of destruction is as good as zero since copies can be created on several devices like hard drives. Data can also be uploaded to offsite organisations or to the web where it’s secured even when the hardware is destroyed. Electronic records are also more secure from manipulations and alterations than physical records. Digital data is easily encrypted and electronic devices can be programmed to alert the relevant guardians of the information whenever attempts are made to change such records at all.

  • Less Record-Keeping Costs

The traditional means of keeping records involved tedious filing and a great deal of infrastructures to keep the records and keep room conditions at ideal levels that ensured the integrity of the records on paper. To top it off, the arduous processes of physically managing all these records required a lot of manpower which all translated to higher costs of creating and maintaining the records. Electronic records, however, demand very little financial support. A single computer with a large hard drive can do the job with more ease and efficiency.

Rogersville, Alabama

The town became an incorporated municipality on February 2, 1858.[3] Originally known as "Rodgersville", it took its name from Andrew and Patience Rodgers of South Carolina who moved into the area and purchased 79.8 acres (323,000 m2) at a public land sale in Huntsville on May 3, 1818. Their land eventually became what is now the downtown business district.[4] When the Rogersville Post Office was established on October 4, 1825 with Thomas Cunningham as the postmaster, the 'd' was dropped from the town's name and it has been known as Rogersville ever since.[3]

The town became a popular trading center due in part to its location near the intersection of three early thoroughfares, U.S. 72, Snake Road and Lamb's Ferry Road. U.S. 72, which now connects Chattanooga and Memphis, Tennessee, was once part of an Indian trail from Ditto's Landing on the Tennessee River south of Huntsville and was used to bypass the Muscle Shoals river barrier. Snake Road leads out of Rogersville into neighboring Limestone County and provided passage from Florence to Athens by way of a shallow ford across Elk River. Lamb's Ferry Road was named for John Lamb who moved from Indian Creek in Giles County, Tennessee in 1816 to establish a ferry across the Tennessee River south of what would later become Rogersville. Lamb's Ferry became an important river port where boats from Knoxville and other points on the upper Tennessee River would unload supplies that were taken over land to areas around Pulaski, TN.[5]

Rogersville is located at 34°49′24″N 87°17′8″W / 34.82333°N 87.28556°W / 34.82333; -87.28556 (34.823444, -87.285693).[6] According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 3.1 square miles (8.0 km2), all land.
