Electronic Medical Records Systems Wingate NC

Medical practices in Wingate have improved over the past few decades as a result of two chief factors namely research and formalisation of the whole industry. Health records take the centre stage in the effort to formalise the practise because they provide a reliable foundation for the treatment of patients over time. Such records are not only limited to the patient’s history but rather to all the recorded medical data that can show trends or patterns of health issues in different people over long periods.

Electronic health records have therefore become popular in modern societies. Just about all industries are increasingly embracing digitisation in most processes. The medical industry has not been left behind in this. Medical records have also been adapted to electronic means of collection and storage which defines the concept of electronic medical records.

The benefits of having electronic health records make the whole change worthwhile. Medical practitioners in different regions or categories can now easily share patient information. This, therefore, makes treatment processes more efficient and provides essential medical histories for patients without a lot of effort. There is also no denying the convenience of electronic records over physical ones besides the obvious ones like storage ease and the ease of retrieving the data on demand.

EMR Software Solution for Medical Records Management in North Carolina

Electronic health records in Wingate NC have evolved the way that medical practitioners operate in terms of collecting and storing patients’ data. All modern health facilities have jumped onto the bandwagon of embracing this trend. Let’s just quickly evaluate the key advantages that come with the use of electronic health record systems.

  • Seeing The Bigger Picture

Health records provide a history of each patient’s medical issues and conditions. This, therefore, allows medical practitioners to familiarise themselves with the patient whether it is on a trip to a dentist or an oncologist. By familiarising themselves with the client’s medical background, health experts can better appreciate the bigger picture of the patient’s health and identify any health patterns.

  • Efficient Record Updates and Retrievals

The primary agenda of any health record system is to provide a reliable source of patient details. Electronic records therefore totally satisfy this need in the business. Patent details can even be inputted to the system directly from the medical equipment such as BP meters or thermometers. EHRs also eliminate lots of problems like parallax errors which come with written records hence improving the integrity of the records. Finally, the time taken to retrieve electronic records is negligible and therefore makes treatment processes much more efficient in Wingate.

  • Better Record Security

Digital means of data storage and collection are better at supplying data security than physical records. The risk of destruction is as good as zero since copies can be created on several devices such as hard drives. Data can also be uploaded to offsite organisations or to the web where it is secured even when the hardware is destroyed. Electronic records are also more secure from manipulations and alterations than physical records. Digital data is easily encrypted and electronic devices can be programmed to alert the relevant guardians of the data whenever attempts are made to change such records at all.

  • Less Record-Keeping Costs

The traditional means of keeping records involved tedious filing along with a great deal of infrastructures to keep the records and keep room conditions at ideal levels that ensured the integrity of the records on paper. To top it off, the arduous processes of physically managing all these records required a lot of manpower which all translated to higher costs of creating and maintaining the records. Electronic records, however, demand very little financial aid. A single computer with a large hard drive can do the job with more ease and efficiency.

Advantages of Electronic Health Record System in Wingate

The management of medical records has a very strong bearing on the progress of any treatment procedure or plan for the patient in question. This is true for nearly every medical branch from dermatology to dentistry. It is therefore essential to employ special software that can effectively manage patient information for the convenience of all medical processes.

EMR software in North Carolina provides an ultimate solution for just about all the challenges that come with the physical means of medical records management. For instance, they significantly reduce the time period involved in the creation of the records and the retrieval of those same documents for use or upgrading.

The convenience of EMR software also permits flawless integration of all patient information from multiple medical practitioners which keeps them updated. Such software can also be critical for tracking patients’ health by identifying abnormal trends and features within the data recorded. Both the medical institutes and the patients that they care for benefit immensely from record management with EMR software. No other alternative management compares to this.

Previous attempts to entrust medical records with each patient have failed dismally in Wingate NC 28174. This can’t be blamed on the patient, human error is common after all and any records in the care of patients are subject to losses or distortions which ultimately makes them unreliable. The use of EMR software, therefore, eliminates any such possibilities and ensures the continued integrity of medical records.

Wingate University

In 1896, Wingate University began as 'The Wingate School,' a primary and secondary institution founded by the Baptist Associations of Union County, North Carolina and Chesterfield County, South Carolina in response to a dearth of locally-available public schools. The School took its name from Dr. Washington Manly Wingate, a former president of Wake Forest College, and continued to offer a primary and secondary education until the proliferation of public schools in the early 20th century.

In 1923, The Wingate School began offering the first two years of a baccalaureate education and became Wingate Junior College. The years leading to World War II were difficult for the institution. Though it began receiving financial support from The Baptist State Convention of North Carolina soon after becoming a college, this support was withdrawn during The Great Depression. It was also during this period, in 1932, that the college's administration building was destroyed by fire. The college survived, however, as a result of the work of its administration, faculty, and supporters as well as the post-WWII college enrollment boom. The Baptist State Convention resumed financial support in 1949, and Charles Cannon, a local businessman and philanthropist, began making substantial donations to the college beginning in the 1950s.

In 1952, Wingate Junior College was accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and in 1977, became a four-year institution, Wingate College. The college continued to grow, especially under the leadership of Jerry McGee, added graduate programs, and became Wingate University in 1995.[3]
